Discover “Safari Madrid”

March 17, 2023

What is Safari Madrid?

It is an 80-hectare leisure centre with 500 animals belonging to 220 species. Based on the traditional safari model, the animals are kept in semi-freedom, and visitors can explore the park in their vehicles (a mandatory requirement). However, the park is divided into several sections. You can get out of the car, see the animals on foot, and feed them in some parts of the park.

In addition to the many animals found at Safari Madrid (from big cats to elephants, hippos, kangaroos, birds, farm animals and reptiles), the enclosure also has a go-kart track, slides, a pool, exhibitions, workshops and several restaurants, as well as a picnic area in case you bring food from home. It is an excellent activity for all ages, and both young and old will enjoy an unforgettable day out.

Opening hours, tickets and prices

The park's ticket office will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can see the animals in semi-freedom from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the timetable for the walking areas is from 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the summer, Safari Madrid opens every day, and if you want to know the times of the exhibitions or the changes to the opening hours according to the season, you can visit this website.

As for prices, tickets cost €21 for adults and €17 for children (3 to 10 years old). Discounts are available for large families and people over 65. All tickets include free access to Safari Madrid's facilities, exhibitions, talks and the pool (open only in summer and subject to park rules and regulations). You can buy your tickets at the ticket office or online
