The first location that comes to mind when we think of Christmas markets in Madrid is Plaza Mayor. Here, you will find nativity scenes, Christmas articles and toys. It's the ideal place to find a gift for people who bring you Christmas cheer and best of all, it's only an 8-minute walk from our apartments!

Mercadillo del Gato (Gato Market)

This market is an extremely successful itinerant market that is well known to many people. It often has special editions during Christmas time and has a wide range of items.

Craft Market Fair of the Autonomous Community of Madrid

After many editions, this market, located on Paseo de Recoletos, is still one of the favourites. As its name suggests, it brings together artisans from all over the city and sells all kinds of handmade products. You can visit it throughout December. 

Madrid Río Christmas Market

Although this market is smaller, it is still very charming, with a 10-metre-high tree and a carousel next to it. It is located behind Casa del Reloj, just a 15-minute drive from Gran View Apartments, and is home to artisan sweets and gifts. It is ideal to take the youngest members of the family and spend an unforgettable day surrounded by the magic of Christmas.

Plaza de España Market

We can't neglect this beautiful market! Located at the end of Gran Vía, it is extremely convenient if you are staying in our apartments, as it is only a 7-minute walk away. It has an ice rink and lots of stalls selling a wide range of food and drink. Among its decorations, there is a 19-metre-high tree and a nativity scene. Ideal to experience the magic of Christmas!
