Explore Madrid on a sightseeing bus!

March 17, 2023

Although several companies offer bus tours, the official tourist transport service in Madrid is Madrid City Tour. You can choose the route you find most interesting: Historic Madrid, Modern Madrid or expanded versions of both. They usually take between 60 and 80 minutes, and all the routes take in the city's most emblematic monuments and sites.

Prices vary according to the age of the passengers, and they also offer packs for 2 consecutive days. You can find all the information about fares on their website.

You can buy your tickets at the main information point (Felipe IV Street, between the Prado Museum and the Ritz Hotel), on the bus, online, or on the City Tour Worldwide app.

The routes have 16 to 22 stops, and you can start your journey at any stop once you have your ticket. In addition, you can hop on and off as many times as you like or change routes. Depending on the season, the frequency ranges from 8-10 minutes in the high season (March to October) to 20-30 minutes in the low season (November to February).

Regarding timetables, tours run from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in summer and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in winter. Times for the extended and night tours may vary, so please check this page.

The tours feature an audio guide with a choice of 14 languages to ensure you don't miss a thing and get to know all of Madrid's secrets. There are also two remarkable children's channels in Spanish and English.

All buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi, an open roof to enjoy the views, and they are accessible for people with reduced mobility. Exploring Madrid has never been so much fun!

Finally, there is a stop on the "Historic Madrid" bus route just 3 minutes away from Gran View Apartments. If you are looking for accommodation in the centre of Madrid, we will be delighted to welcome you to our completely equipped flats and all the comforts you need. Book now!
