Summer Nights in Madrid 2025: The Best Open-Air Cinemas

Cibeles de Cine

From 26 June to 11 September, the tenth edition of Cibeles de Cine will be held in the iconic Galería de Cristal at the Palacio de Cibeles, a stunning venue that transforms each screening into a memorable event. More than 75 films will be screened, including great classics, auteur films, and recent premieres. Tickets start at €6, and note that this open-air cinema attracted more than 33,000 spectators in its last edition. And best of all, if you stay in our apartments, you can get there on foot or by metro in just 15 minutes.

Fescinal

If there is one summer cinema event that stands out in Madrid, it's Fescinal, which this year runs from 26 June to 6 September in Bombilla Park, a green space with a very special atmosphere. Its programme is one of the most diverse and extensive in the city, offering over 100 titles throughout the summer. You can buy a drink at the bar on the grounds and sit comfortably as night falls. Prices range from €1.65 to €5, depending on the day and the film. You can get there by metro from our apartments in just 20 minutes.

Autocine Madrid

If you come to Madrid by car, we recommend trying the drive-in experience. Imagine watching a movie from the comfort of your car while enjoying a delicious hamburger, hot dog, or some popcorn. The retro atmosphere, comfort, and charm of open-air cinemas make drive-ins an ideal option for couples, families, and friends. You can drive there from Gran View Apartments in 30 minutes.

CinePlaza - Matadero Madrid

CinePlaza has established itself as a must-see event in Madrid's summer programme, offering a unique cultural experience that combines cinema, music, and audience participation in an open-air setting. In last year's edition, it transformed Plaza de Matadero (Matadero Square) into a stage that attracted more than 5,000 spectators. Prices range from €3.50 for films, €5 for films with commentary, and €10 for cinema-concerts. You can get there by metro from our apartments in just 20 minutes.

Plaza de Las Vistillas

On Fridays in July 2025, you can enjoy titles such as Indiana Jones, A Todo Tren, and Top Gun: Maverick. The screenings are completely free, and each film is scheduled to start at 9 p.m. A perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening of outdoor cinema, just 17 minutes by bus from our apartments.
